What/Who Is 2-Story?
2-Story is an advertising agency that deals with marketing and advertising, public relations and website development. With the place that I worked for them at, they had a very small staff in a very small building. This staff and building size had no importance at all, they were all fully capable and efficient with any task at hand.
Why Did I Want to Do This?
For a couple years now I've been extremely fascinated and drawn to digital illustration, specifically concept art, and I've been in love with the looks of the pieces, the ideas/concepts, and the feelings they give. My dream job is to be one of the people that creates these amazing pieces. I want to learn more than what I already know and study it as much as I can in college. I want to practice the art as much as I can and someday reach that level of mastery. To do this I know I need to start with baby steps and get some hands on experience as much as I can before I go into my college years. Besides doing it for a couple projects in art I was really yearning for some other type of "real world" applications to use it with and experiences, I was super excited to find out that 2-Story had an open intern position in May (2017).
What Did I Do There?
While I was there I was giving a real life event for a specific company and then be responsible to design and digitally draw out a product. For example; the Milwaukee Brewers were holding an annual 5K run and all the participants earn a shirt for the event, at 2-Story I was able to draw out a couple ideas I had for the shirt design and present them to my boss and receive feedback, I would then digitally draw the idea I had and include all the necessary sponsors and subjects on the shirt.
